The scene of seminars in the Department of Biology sciences

As part of the seminar activities at the College of Science / Department of Biology sciences, PhD student Zahra Jassim Ramadan Mahmoud delivered a seminar on her tagged thesis:
(Role of miRNA Molecule and DNA Methylation in Regulation of Gene Expression for Circadian Rhythm Gene in Mental Disorders)
The workshop highlighted the regulatory role of miRNA molecules and DNA methylation processes in controlling the gene expression of circadian Rhythm genes, their relationship to mental disorders and the mechanisms of molecular dysfunction associated with them, as well as their importance in understanding the genetic and epigenetic bases of these disorders.
The seminar was held on the morning of Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Dr. Mahmoud Haj Qasem Hall, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Owais Muwaffaq Hamed Al-Hassani and Prof. Dr. Elham Khattab Abdullah Al-jamas, and in the presence of a number of department teachers and graduate students.
In conclusion, we wish our dear student continued success in her scientific career, and for the teachers of the department to give more and excellence in supporting scientific research and upgrading the academic career.
