College of Science Deanship Holds an Expanded Meeting to Enhance Academic Accreditation Readiness, Final Examination Preparations, and Scientific Publishing

The Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, held an expanded meeting attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rayan Mazen Faisal, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Adel Shareef, as well as the heads of academic departments and faculty members.

The meeting focused on discussing the requirements of academic accreditation committees and exploring ways to enhance the readiness of the College’s departments to meet quality assurance standards, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision of achieving institutional excellence.

The participants also reviewed preparations for the final examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Discussions emphasized addressing potential challenges and ensuring a suitable examination environment that guarantees fairness, efficiency, and the smooth conduct of the examination process, while also ensuring the completion of academic curricula according to approved study plans.

During the meeting, the Dean considered the observations and suggestions raised by faculty members, reaffirming the College Deanship’s continuous support for their academic and scientific efforts. She also encouraged greater engagement in scientific publishing and academic promotion activities, recognizing their importance in strengthening the College’s academic reputation and improving the University’s ranking at both national and international levels.

The Dean further emphasized that these efforts receive direct support from the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, who remains committed to supporting faculty members and encouraging scientific advancement and research excellence.

This meeting forms part of a series of regular sessions organized by the College Deanship to strengthen communication with academic departments, promote a culture of quality assurance, and foster a motivating academic environment that supports institutional excellence and continuous development.
