Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of Physics at the College of Science, as part of continuing education activities, is organizing a workshop entitled “Food Irradiation.”

The workshop aims to highlight the role of radiation in food preservation, identify natural and artificial radiation levels in food products, and review scientific and regulatory standards for ensuring food safety, as well as the applications of nuclear technologies in this field.

The workshop will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the discussion hall of the Department of Physics.
