Registration of Two New Bacterial Isolates in the NCBI Database

A research team from the Department of Biology at the College of Science has registered two bacterial isolates in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database, as part of its ongoing academic research activities.
The research was conducted under the supervision of Lecturer Dr. Ghaidaa Mohammed Abdulaziz, with the participation of the research project students Aya Adi Taha, Shahd Mahmoud Ahmed, and Sarab Khaled Ghazi.
The registered bacterial isolates belong to the species Escherichia coli and Micrococcus luteus. They were isolated from acne infection cases and identified using molecular techniques based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis.
The genetic sequences were officially deposited in the GenBank database of NCBI under the following accession numbers:
- PZ093018
- PZ093019
This achievement comes within the framework of academic research requirements and contributes to the documentation and global accessibility of molecular data of bacterial isolates for researchers.
