College of Science Academics Achieve Distinction and Shine in Global Scientific Publishing

When academic excellence is combined with high-quality scientific research, remarkable achievements emerge that place institutions at the forefront of the global scientific landscape. In this context, the College of Science honored a distinguished group of its faculty members who have demonstrated an outstanding presence in scientific research and international publication.
With the continuous support of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the close follow-up of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the College recognized Professor Laith Ahmed Najm and Professor Abdulrahman Basil Fadhil in appreciation of their exceptional scientific efforts and distinguished research contributions, which have significantly enhanced the University’s academic and international standing.
This recognition carries particular significance as both honored professors are listed among the top 2% of the world’s most influential researchers, an achievement that reflects the impact and global visibility of their scholarly work in reputable international databases. Professor Laith Ahmed Najm has achieved an H-Index of 16, while Professor Abdulrahman Basil Fadhil has attained an H-Index of 37, highlighting the substantial number of citations and the scientific influence of their research outputs.
This accomplishment reflects the commitment of the College of Science faculty to excellence in scientific research and their active contribution to the advancement of global knowledge. It further strengthens the academic reputation of the University of Mosul and lays the foundation for an even more distinguished scientific future.
