Department of Chemistry Holds Two Graduate Seminars at the College of Science

As part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the academic capabilities of postgraduate students, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science organized two distinguished scientific seminars on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, presented by two PhD students and attended by a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.
The first seminar was entitled:
“Development of Analytical Methods for the Estimation of Some Pharmaceutical Compounds”
It was presented by PhD student Zeina Talal Shakir, specializing in Analytical Chemistry, under the supervision of Professor Nabil Subaih, in collaboration with Assistant Professor Dr. Saba Zaki Mahmoud.
The second seminar was entitled:
“Determination of Some Pharmaceutical Compounds by Spectrophotometric and Chromatographic Methods: Applications to Different Samples”
It was presented by PhD student Naseem Maysar Abd, specializing in Analytical Chemistry, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Khalida Mohammed Omar.
Both seminars witnessed active participation from faculty members and postgraduate students. The presentations were followed by constructive discussions and exchanges of ideas, which contributed to strengthening students’ research, analytical, and scientific communication skills.
