Within the framework of enhancing scientific cooperation and exchange of academic experiences between the faculties of the University of Mosul, professor Dr. Sinai Abdullah Ali, teaching in the Department of life sciences at the Faculty of science, participated in the discussion Committee of the tagged master’s thesis: “Conventional and Molecular Diagnosis of Eimeria spp. in Cattle and Buffalo” The presentation was made by student Ahmed Abdel Wahed Ibrahim at the microbiology branch of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The study sought to diagnose the types of parasites of the genus Eimeria in cows and buffaloes of different ages and in a number of areas of Nineveh Governorate, relying on traditional microscopic diagnostic methods and molecular techniques, as well as the study of histological sections of the intestine to determine the developmental stages of the parasite. The results of the study showed the registration of twelve species of parasites of the genus Eimeria in cows and buffaloes, as well as the registration of four genetic isolates of the parasite in the GenBank database of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), which enhances the documentation of molecular data and supports specialized research in the field of Veterinary parasites. The discussion Committee included Prof. Dr. Seri Salem Abdul Razzaq as chairman, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Sinai Abdullah Ali and Prof. Dr. Nadia Hamed Mohammed, while Prof. Dr. Manal Hammadi Hassan supervised the thesis and participated as a member of the discussion Committee. This participation embodies the active role of the Faculty of science teachers in supporting the scientific and research movement, and strengthening academic cooperation between the faculties of Mosul University, which contributes to raising the scientific level and exchanging experiences in various disciplines.
