Under the patronage of the president of the University of Mosul, Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Hiam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of life sciences at the Faculty of Science held the workshop tagged “basic concepts of immunohistochemistry”, as part of the continuing education activities of the department, and in cooperation with the rehabilitation, employment and follow-up unit, the voluntary work unit at the college, and the Sustainable Development Unit at the university presidency. The workshop, which was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 in the Dr. Mahmoud Haj Qasim Hall at the Department of Life Sciences, included scientific lectures presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ilham Abdullah Ali, Professor Dr. Fatima Qasim Mohammed, teacher Dr. Yasser Abdul Amir Abdullah, and teacher Dr. Muzaffar Siddiq Abdul Karim. The workshop dealt with the basic concepts and modern applications of immunohistochemistry, focusing on its importance in medical diagnosis and biological scientific research, and its role in linking theoretical aspects and practical applications. This workshop comes within the activities of the Faculty of Science and the Department of Life Sciences in the field of continuing education, the development of scientific and academic skills, and enhancing cooperation between the relevant units to serve the educational and research environment at the University.
