Based on the directives of the presidency of the University of Mosul, represented by the president of the University, the Honorable Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the patronage of the dean of the Faculty of Science, The Honorable Dr. Hiam Adel Ibrahim, the Faculty of science organized a landscaping campaign in the college gardens, with the participation of the head of the Department of Life Sciences, the Honorable Dr. Amjad Abdul Hadi Mohammed, and the rapporteur of the department, the distinguished assistant professor Dr. Alaa Hussein Ali. The campaign aimed to increase green spaces and improve the aesthetic of the university environment, which contributes to providing a healthy and sustainable atmosphere, and enhances the civilized appearance of the college facilities. This initiative comes in line with the directions of Mosul University aimed at promoting environmental awareness, spreading the culture of afforestation and preserving green spaces, because of its importance in improving the university environment and enhancing the concepts of sustainability and social responsibility. The Faculty of science confirms its keenness to continue supporting environmental initiatives that contribute to the preservation of the university environment, and to establish a culture of concern for nature, making the college’s gardens more green, beautiful and vibrant.
