As part of the College of Science’s efforts to promote sustainable development concepts and enhance the utilization of natural resources, the Department of Biology continues its practical activities in the educational mushroom farm. This includes preparing suitable environmental conditions and monitoring growth and production stages, with the participation of students from the second and third stages (evening study), under the supervision of a group of department faculty members. The project aims to contribute to food security and encourage local production through the cultivation of Agaricus bisporus, one of the most widely consumed mushroom species worldwide, due to its high nutritional value.
