The College of Education for Humanities organized a scientific lecture on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, entitled: “Iraq’s History… How Was It Written?”

The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Khalil Al-Alaf, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit, at the college hall, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students.

The lecture addressed key themes related to how Iraqi history has been written, the sources relied upon by historians, as well as the evolution of historical research methodologies over time, highlighting the main challenges facing the writing of history in Iraq.
