The Department of History at the Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on:
(Mahmoud Salah El Karroui and his contributions to the writing of Maghreb political history)
Sunday, November 6, 2022, part of which was attended by a number of faculty teachers.
The thesis submitted by the student dealt with
(Ammar Atallah Abdullah Al-Jubouri) in the Department of Historiography, a historical study in the personality of the Iraqi historian, thinker and academic Mahmoud Saleh al-Karwi, his vision of the political and historical affairs of the Maghreb, and his role in establishing a Maghreb orientation at the graduate level in Iraq.The study dealt with the important aspects of his social and scientific life and his intellectual and academic production, which enriched the Iraqi and Arab library with many researches and literature, and his contributions to the development of the field of Maghreb studies in Iraq, as well as providing a brief analysis of political developments in the Maghreb countries in the light of the vision of the historian and thinker Mahmoud Saleh Karroui.The study aims to present a contemporary Iraqi vision of the political and historical affairs of the Maghreb, and to open new horizons for researchers and those interested in the study of Maghreb political and historical affairsChaired the Discussion Committee:
