In the presence of theRector of University ofMosulProf.Dr.Kossay Kamalaldeen Al-Ahmady, on Tuesday (05/05/2020)on the discussion hall in Mechatronics Engineering Department, a doctoral thesis were discussed with specialization Geotechnics for the student(Tariq Hassan Mohammed)entitled (analysis of thestabilityslope For unsaturated soil under dynamic conditions) by depending on electronic communication remotely with a number of the discussion committee members.The thesis includedConducting a study of laboratory tests on slopes of unsaturated soil from the Al Shamsiyyat area in Mosul city. These tests were conducted using a laboratory model that was manufactured, where the slopes were exposed to static loading conditions and vibrations that simulate earthquakes inadditionto rain, which represents environmental conditions in reality.Laboratory results were compared with the results of theoretical analysis using the geostudio program and there was a very good convergence . In addition to a table design, it can be used by engineers to estimate slope tolerance within a certain range of angle of inclination and acceleration of tremors . Also a study was conducted (case study)To assess thestability of theshoulder slope left to Darbandikhan dam in theprovince ofSulaymaniyah innorthern Iraq showed theresults of thetheoretical analysis match with conditionslocationalthat caused theslope failure and can therefore rely on this study in thefuture by themanagement of theproject to assess thestability ofslopes in theregion.Thediscussion committee consisted of: –
