Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) – Department of Civil Engineering

  1. Equip graduates with the fundamental knowledge and skills in civil engineering, particularly in structural, geotechnical, and transportation engineering, enabling them to serve the community, engage effectively in professional engineering societies, and successfully integrate into the labor market.
  2. Enable graduates to apply and enhance engineering practice in civil engineering to effectively address and meet the needs of the community.
  3. Encourage graduates to pursue continuing education and professional development through participation in workshops and training courses and enrollment in postgraduate programs, including master’s and doctoral studies in the three specializations: structural engineering, soil mechanics, and highways and transportation engineering.
  4. Enable graduates to develop the creative knowledge and skills necessary for effective problem-solving, adaptation to modern and emerging technologies in structural, geotechnical, and transportation engineering, and lifelong learning.
