Hosting a lecturer from College of Engineering / Mosul University in a digital scientific symposium
TheDepartment of Islamic Archeology in college of Archeology at University of Samarra hosted the Asst. Prof. Dr. Imad Hani Al-Allaf, a faculty member of College of Engineering at University of Mosul, in the digital scientific symposium tagged with ”Challenges of Reconstructing the Noori Mosque and the Historic Al-Hadba Minaret ‘ on Monday 05/10/2020.Within the five axes of the symposium, the lecturer highlights on the importance of the Noori Mosque and the al-Hadba minaret as a unique historical landmark in the city of Mosul in particular and to Islamic architecture in general, with a presentation of the most important restoration and protection work that he witnessed, the best ways to rebuild the mosque and minaret, and present the reality of the situation and the challenges of the process of restoration Real reconstruction and attempts at digital virtual reconstruction .The symposium was attended by the Dean of college of Archeology at University of Samarra and a numbers of lecturers and interested persons from different universities .
