MS.C thesis at College of Engineering discusses ” The effect of intermittent constant water application on soil infiltration “
A master’s thesis in Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering / college of engineering at University of Mosul discusses ” The effect of intermittent constant water application on soil infiltration ” submitted by postgraduate student ( Shamsaldeen Mohamed Shamsaldeen ) on Tuesday 01/12/2020.
The thesis included a laboratory study of the infiltration characteristics under intermittent sprinkler irrigation and a theoretical analysis to determine theeffect ofthe cycle ratio on the surface runoff ratio from the irrigation depth.And determine theeffect ofintermittent irrigation on the time of adding the necessary depth.
The thesis reached to devise relationships to assess each of the progression of the front of wetness with time, the time of the occurrence of the pool, and the cumulative depth of infiltration after the time of the occurrence of the pool .It turns outthat theprogress front wettability in thesoilAlmazijahsandy greater progress in soilConcubinage.And that the effect of intermittent addition on themoisturecontent isgreat during the first cycles, then its effect begins to gradually decrease until it becomes almost constant in the last cycles.
The thesis recommended to study the effect of added intermittent water on the leaching of soil when processing variable spray intensity and conduct experiments on soils with other texture in addition tostratigraphyand other courses atrates.The discussion committee consistedof:
