Higher Diploma Research on “Study the performance of Pattern Division Multiple Access(PDMA) for 5G”
A Higher Diploma Research was discussed in Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled “Study the performance of Pattern Division Multiple Access(PDMA) for 5G” submitted by (Sabaa Kh. Al-Taboo), Supervised By(Dr. Farhad A. Mahmood)on Monday, April 11, 2022.The research mainly aimed to study non-orthogonal multiple access techniques(NOMA), where highlighted the importance of this technology in the subsequent future generations of communications, we also investigate the important points of superiority of non-orthogonal multiple access techniques compared to orthogonal multiple access techniques. The research, also, touched on the study of non-orthogonal multiple access techniques. And he went in detail to PDMA technology, where the joint design of the receiver and transmitter studied, in addition to studying the algorithms used with this technology. A comparison was made between PDMA technology and OMA using simulation in Matlab, via Adding White Gaussian noise. To test the Bit Error Rate. The result of all comparisons showed a remarkable superiority of NOMA/PDMA(Non Orthogonal Multiple Access/Pattern technology over OMA technology, and this serves to achieve high spectrum efficiency and increase the number of users, which is what the world seeks to contribute to the development of communications in the fifth generation and future generations 5G.
