Master Thesis on “Analysis and simulation of a Resonant Inductive Wireless Charging System”

A master thesis was discussed in Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled “Analysis and simulation of a Resonant Inductive Wireless Charging System” submitted by (Sidra Abduljabbar Yousif Keyork), Supervised By Dr. Yasir M. Y. Ameenon Wednesday, June 15, 2022.A design and analysis of two different types of magnetic pads, namely the circular pad and the double (DD) pad, were presented. In order to improve the performance of this important part of the wireless charging system, a new magnetic pad based on the above two pads, called Composite (DD-CC) Pad, is proposed. The power transmission efficiency of the (DD-CC) pad without the effect of the shield was (99.24%), which is higher than the power transmission efficiency of the two-dimensional (DD) and (CC) pads of (99.17%). and (97.92%) respectively. All pads were designed using the simulation program (ANSYS Maxwell).Later, these pads were successfully used in modeling and simulating a bi-directional resonant inductive power transmission system with a compensation circuit (LCL) using the MATLAB/Simulink simulation program, and the results showed good performance with the ability to control the direction and quantity of the transmitted power in both.
