Training Course on “Power Electronics Switching Devices”
Department of Electrical Engineering held a training course entitled “Power Electronics Switching Devices” on Tuesday, 08/11/2022 which lasts for three days.The course topics are very useful for the graduates, postgraduates degree, graduates of technical institutes, and the final stages students of College of Engineering.The course presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Yaser Mohammed Younis, Dr. Riyadh Zaki Sabri, the lecturer Ibrahim Ismail Abdulhamid, Dr. Silwan Samir Sabry, the lecturer Fawaz Yaseen Abdullah and Dr. Farhad Ezzaldeen Mahmood.The course included a general introduction to power electronics switches used previously and currently, how to choose the appropriate switches for the appropriate application (how to review Datasheet in detail for the appropriate application), and losses or losses in semiconductors in power electronics circuits.
