A Brief Overview of the Industrial Advisory Council of  Department of Electrical Engineering:

Department of Electrical Engineering has established an advisory council that includes a select group of engineers and experts from various industrial sectors, research centers, and governmental departments in Nineveh Governorate. The council consists of expert consultants specialized in diverse fields of electrical engineering, such as power systems, communications, electronics, control systems, and renewable energy, in addition to a some faculty members from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Mosul.

The council members meet at least once each academic semester to review the educational program objectives, monitor graduates’ outcomes, and provide suggestions for curriculum development. The council holds regular meetings to discuss curriculum updates and the continuous improvement of the Electrical Engineering program in alignment with the current labor market needs and the future directions of the discipline.

The department places great importance on consulting with council members on various matters that serve students’ interests, develop the department’s curriculum, monitor graduates’ performance, and refine the technical formulation of the program’s educational objectives. The department is also keen to explore with council members the possibilities of cooperation between institutions and executive departments (experienced engineers) to transfer professional expertise to graduates by organizing seminars and workshops, thus bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while broadening the students’ professional perspectives .
