Master’s thesis on “Experimental Investigation of the heat exchanger performance using a nano-magnetized oil”

A master thesis was discussed in Department of Mechanical Engineering / College of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled “Experimental Investigation of the heat exchanger performance using a nano-magnetized oil” for postgraduate student (Wijdan Ahmed Jalal Ibraheem), supervised by Assist. Prof. Maan  S. M. Al-Dabbagh on Sunday Sep. 01, 2024.

The thesis includes a practical study to improve the performance of a double-tube heat exchanger with opposite flow, cold oil (car engine oil) flows in the inner tube at an entry temperature of (30 °C) and a volumetric flow rate (1, 2, 3, 4 ), while hot water flows through the space between the two tubes at a temperature   of (70 °C)  and a volumetric flow rate (1, 2, 3 ).

the results showed that the percentage of increase obtained when applying a magnetic flux with a strength of (500 Gauss) to the nano-oil and a volumetric ratio (3.75%) was the highest in improving the performance of the exchanger. Thermal as the rate of increase in the effectiveness of the exchanger (4.03%) Compared to nano-oil.
