Patent Granted to Faculty Member from Department of Environmental Engineering
As part of the ongoing scientific activity of Department of Environmental Engineering, Assistant Lecturer Waad Mohammed Ali, a PhD student and faculty member in the Environmental Engineering Department, has been granted a patent that has been officially registered internationally with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) under the title:
“Innovative Application of Garden Cress (Lepidium sativum) as a Novel Biomaterial for Modification of Anode Surfaces to Boost Power Generation in Microbial Fuel Cell.”
This patent represents a part of the lecturer’s PhD research, which was completed at the Environmental Engineering Department, University of Baghdad, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Zainab Ziyad Ismail.
