Industrial Advisory Council – Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering

Brief Overview of the Industrial Advisory Council of the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering:
The Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering has established an advisory council that includes a select group of engineers from various governmental departments in Nineveh Governorate. The council consists of six expert consultants from different sectors of water resources engineering, in addition to three faculty members from the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering at the University of Mosul. The council members meet at least once each academic semester to review the educational program objectives, follow up on graduates’ outcomes, and provide suggestions for curriculum development.
The council holds regular meetings to discuss curriculum updates and the continuous improvement of the Dams and Water Resources Engineering program in line with current labor market requirements and future visions of the field. The department places great importance on consulting with council members on many matters that serve students’ interests, enhance the department’s curriculum, monitor graduate outcomes, and refine the technical formulation of the program’s educational objectives. The department is also keen to explore with council members the possibilities of cooperation between institutions and executive departments (experienced engineers) to transfer expertise to graduates by organizing seminars and workshops, thereby linking their theoretical knowledge with practical application and broadening their thinking horizons.
