College of Engineering

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, College of Engineering received a specialized ministerial committee during a field visit to review the requirements for the establishment of Department of Communications and Smart Digital Systems at the college.

The committee was received by Dean of College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Talib Hameed, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Tareq Yaseen, Head of Department of Electrical Engineering; and Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Khuroufa, Head of Department of Architectural Engineering.

The visit included a comprehensive field tour to evaluate the teaching staff, classrooms, and scientific laboratories, in addition to inspecting the necessary materials and infrastructure required for establishing the department, in accordance with the current ministerial guidelines and regulations.

This initiative comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to develop its academic programs and introduce modern specializations that keep pace with technological advancements and meet the needs of the labor market.
