Continuing Education Course in Department of Architecture Engineering on the Features of Islamic Architecture in Baghdad School of Islamic Miniature Painting

Department of Architecture Engineering organized a continuing education course titled “Features of Islamic Architecture in the Baghdad School of Islamic Miniature Painting” on Sunday, May 25, 2025 for five days.

The course aims to enhance the scientific and professional competence of engineers and academics working in the fields of design and architecture, enabling them to gain knowledge in the theory and history of Islamic architecture.

The course included a theoretical introduction to miniature painting and its role in documenting the mental image of architecture as perceived by the viewer. It also introduced miniatures, emphasizing their architectural and documentary significance, and proceeded to analyze illustrations of mosque architecture, as well as depictions of houses and markets. The course will conclude with a discussion and a practical exam for the participants.
