College of Engineering in the Community Service …Visit to Al-Hadba Specialized Hospital for Hematological Diseases
In response to the directives of the President of University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, regarding community outreach and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being—a humanitarian visit was organized to the Hereditary Blood Diseases Center (Thalassemia) on Monday, June 2, 2025.
The visit was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, Dean of College of Engineering, Dr. Bassam Al-Hafidh, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, with a group of faculty members and staff from the college.
During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Median Mohammed Fawzi, Director of Al-Hadba Specialized Hospital for Hematological Diseases and Bone Marrow Transplantation. Dr. Median praised the continued support of College of Engineering in serving the community and extending a helping hand to those in need.
As part of this initiative, the college delegation presented a number of gifts and toys to the hospitalized children, in a humanitarian gesture aimed at lifting their spirits and bringing joy to their hearts and the hearts of their families. Additionally, some available medical supplies were provided in support of this group, who are in need of exceptional moral support on their journey toward recovery.
