College of Engineering Launches an Initiative to Plant Indoor Shade Plants in College Building and Its Departments
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability within the university campus and to achieve Goal 13: Climate Action, and in accordance with the directives of Presidency of University of Mosul / Department of Administrative Affairs, College of Engineering has launched an initiative to plant indoor shade plants in the dean’s office building and its affiliated academic departments.
This initiative aims to create a healthy and sustainable educational environment that enhances the well-being of both students and faculty. The addition of plants contributes to improving indoor air quality and provides a comfortable atmosphere that helps with concentration and stimulates creativity. This step also reflects College of Engineering’s commitment to strengthening the connection between students and nature, thereby supporting mental well-being and fostering an inspiring educational setting.
It is worth noting that this activity was organized by the Sustainable Development Committee and the Administrative and Services Division at College of Engineering, in collaboration with Sustainable Development Unit / Department of Studies and Planning at university presidency, and in coordination with Department of Administrative Affairs at the university presidency.
