Women’s Affairs Committee at College of Engineering Holds a Specialized Lecture on Statistics, Tables, and Data Collection

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of University of Mosul, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, Dean of College of Engineering, and within the framework of 2025 implementation of Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security—specifically the pillar of participation and institutional reform—and as part of the scientific activities of College of Engineering and its objectives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Women’s Affairs Committee in cooperation with Women’s Affairs Unit at University Presidency, held a specialized lecture titled “Statistics, Tables, and Data Collection” on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
The lecture aimed to introduce participants to the science of statistics, methods of data collection, organizing data into statistical tables, and methods of representation.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Reem Ali Talib (Lecturer and Head of Women’s Affairs Committee), Dr. Hiba Nadhim Ameen Al-Kawaz (Lecturer), and Ms. Maha Abdulrahman Abdulmajid (Lecturer).
A number of faculty and staff members from College of Engineering attended the lecture.
