Women’s Affairs Committee at College of Engineering, University of Mosul, Holds a Dialogue Session on Women’s Success Stories

In line with the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (Recovery Pillar), and within the activities of College of Engineering to promote the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities)— Women’s Affairs Committee, in cooperation with Women’s Affairs Unit at University Presidency, organized a dialogue session on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Department of Environmental Engineering’s hall.
The session highlighted success stories of women and girls as positive models in society, showcasing achievements of female staff members in the college and inspiring participants to pursue their goals, overcome challenges, and reshape perceptions of women’s role in the community.
The event was attended by faculty leaders and included talks by Dr. Reem Ali Taleb, Head of Women’s Affairs Committee, and Dr. Hiba Nadhim Al-Kawaz from Department of Electrical Engineering. It concluded with honoring several female staff members who shared their personal success stories.
This initiative represents an important step toward empowering women, strengthening their confidence, and highlighting their academic and professional contributions.
