Presenting a Seminar in Germany

On Monday 2/9/2019, Assistant Prof. Dr. Emad Hani Al-Alaf presented a seminar on his research project :
” Virtual Library of the Architectural Heritage Façade Elements of Mosul Traditional Houses as a Case Study “.
At the Museum of the Islamic Arts – Pergamon Museum, affiliated to the Berlin Museums Foundation – the German Ministry of Culture Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (https://www.smb.museum/en/home.html).

The seminar was attended by a committee of scientific staff belonging to the Museum of Islamic Art, composed of Prof. Dr. Stefan Weber ( Museum Director), Dr. Anne Mollenhauer, Specialist in History and Architectural Conservation and Coordinator of the Syrian Heritage Archive Project, Dr. Karin Pütt specializes in the traditional architecture of the villages of northeastern Syria and the Euphrates Valley, Dr. Rami Alafandi, researcher in the Syrian Heritage Archive project, and Dima Dayoub, architect of the Aleppo Crossroads Project.The seminar lasted more than 90 minutes during which Dr. Emad Al-Allaf presented the first phases of the project, which were previously completed by a series of researches carried out by him at the University of Mosul, with a review of the methodology and developments of work and the results of the stage reached in the current period.The attendees have enriched their observations with important aspects to enhance a number of aspects of the project and overcome some of the shortcomings, to be agreed to submit the final results of the current phase early next month through a panel discussion.
