A workshop at the College of Environmental Sciences and Technologies on breast cancer..‏

In conjunction with the Challenge Month, the Environmental Health Department at the College of Environmental Science and Technologies, in cooperation with the College’s Continuing Education Unit and the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held this morning, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the workshop entitled “For a Better Tomorrow, Be the Hope (Check and Do Not Hesitate)” “, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and the Head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, Ms. Suha Muhammad Tayyab.
It was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Rehab Abdel-Jabbar Hamed, Head of the Environmental Health Department at our college, Dr. Raja Ahmed Younis, a lecturer at the  College of Medicine, University of Mosul, and the physician specializing in breast surgery, Dr. Iman Muhammad Ali Hamid Al-Bakr.
The workshop addressed the types of breast cancer, facts and myths about breast cancer, in addition to the self-examination mechanism, symptoms of early detection of the disease, and new innovative treatment, as well as the health guidelines and instructions necessary to reduce the risk of infection by emphasizing eating healthy food, exercising, and the psychological state that affects immunity.
