Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences Publishes Research in Q1 Journal

Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Mohammed Al-Taee, Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, has published a new research paper titled:

“Antimicrobial, Anti-Biofilm Activity and Antioxidants of Phenolic Compounds Isolated from Hypericum perforatum on Periodontal Pathogenic Oral Bacteria”

The study was published in Food Science & Nutrition, a high-impact journal ranked in the First Quartile (Q1) and indexed within the Scopus and Clarivate databases.

This research is the result of a successful scientific collaboration with Dr. Saba Muayyad, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, alongside a team of international researchers from outside Iraq. This partnership reflects the college’s commitment to enhancing joint scientific research and expanding academic engagement with global research institutions.

This achievement contributes significantly to solidifying the standing of both the University and the College of Environmental Sciences within international academic rankings.
