Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, and with the attendance of the Head of the Department of Environmental Health, Dr. Mohammed Yahya Alawi, a seminar entitled “The Use of Microorganisms in Biological Treatment” was held in the Department of Environmental Health. The seminar was presented by Ms. Wasan Jassim Hassan, a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Health at our college.

The seminar included a discussion of the role of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, and algae) in removing pollutants from wastewater, as well as the synergistic relationship between these organisms and the resulting pollutant removal process.
