A workshop at the College of Environmental Sciences on climate challenges..
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Walid Al-Abbasi, the College of Environmental Sciences / Department of Climate Change, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Committee and the Agricultural Research Center in the Arab Republic of Egypt, held a workshop entitled “Sustainable Smart Cities to Adapt to Climate Challenges”, today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in the college discussion hall.
The lecture included the environmental obstacles and challenges facing the practical application of establishing sustainable smart cities, especially climate change, and the role of modern technology in overcoming these obstacles.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of sustainable smart cities, their characteristics and importance.
The workshop recommended spreading community awareness about the importance of sustainable smart cities in facing environmental challenges and the need to activate the role of government institutions and civil society organizations in establishing these cities.
