Department of Climate Change\ Vision, Mission, and Objectives
Vision:
To pioneer in resource management, preserving climate and environmental quality, managing resources, and combating desertification at the local, regional, and global levels.
Mission:
To actively contribute to the development of desert environment communities by aligning with sustainability goals through research outputs and studies in ecosystems, pollution control, ecological balance, natural resources in deserts, emission reduction, and providing laboratory services according to global quality standards. Additionally, to serve the community and enhance its capabilities.
Objectives:
- Raise awareness and culture related to combating climate change, global warming, and the development of desert environments, as well as exploring natural resources in Iraqi deserts.
- Prepare graduates with extensive knowledge and expertise in environmental conservation, reducing emissions and pollutants that contribute to global warming and the decline of vegetation cover.
- Significantly contribute to environmental conservation and ecological balance by using clean energy and increasing green spaces to restore natural levels.
- Support community institutions through consultations and services by providing graduates from the Climate Change Department.
- Promote environmental awareness about desert life systems and the risks of desertification, drought, and climate disasters
