A workshop at the College of Environmental Sciences on instilling environmental values and cognitive skills…
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Taie, the College of Environmental Sciences/Department of Environmental Technology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled “Instilling Environmental Values and Cognitive Skills in Handling Medical Waste” this morning, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the college’s discussion hall.

The workshop included… an introduction to medical waste, its types, how to dispose of it safely, and the human and environmental damage it causes.
The workshop also aimed to understand all the cognitive skills needed to safely handle this medical waste, whether solid, liquid, or gaseous, including storage, collection, transportation, and burial.
