Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Taie, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Khalil, and as part of the summer training program for third-year students in the Department of Environmental Sciences, a number of department instructors visited summer training students at the Flower Water Project, Mosul Municipality Directorate, the Old and Expanded Al-Ayser Water Project, the Al-Dandan Water Project, and the Environmental Research Center. The instructors supervised the students’ training by examining the most important stages of water treatment to provide clean drinking water to homes, with fast delivery and guaranteed quality, using several scientific methods to dispose of contaminated water and convert it into water suitable for drinking or irrigating crops. They also learned about the important components involved in environmental treatments and how to reduce the risks of environmental pollution. The students were also monitored and provided with advice and guidance through several awareness and environmental lectures that encourage the achievement of sustainable development goals. The students expressed their happiness and gratitude to their instructors and supervisors for their continuous follow-up and overcoming any obstacles they encountered during the training. This activity contributes to Goal 4 (Quality Education) of the Sustainable Development Goals.
