The Coordination Committee of the Department of Environmental Sciences visited Al-Noor University to coordinate and prepare for the scientific symposium entitled “The Tigris River and the Challenges of Sustainability.” The symposium, organized by the Department of Environmental Sciences in cooperation with Al-Noor University, is scheduled to be held from November 19 to 20, 2025.
During the visit, committee members met with Professor Ismail Abdul Wahab, Assistant President for Academic Affairs, and Professor Yasar Al-Tamr, Head of the Department of Health Technology. The main scientific topics related to the symposium were reviewed, and research aspects that would enrich its scientific sessions were discussed.
During the meeting, the committee also addressed the logistical and organizational preparations necessary to ensure the symposium’s optimal execution, reflecting the distinguished academic level of both the department and the university.
The committee members emphasized the importance of integrating efforts between the scientific and administrative aspects to ensure the event’s success and contribute to highlighting the university’s role in addressing contemporary environmental issues, most notably the sustainability of the Tigris River as a vital and strategic resource.
