College of Environmental Sciences

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, the College of Environmental Sciences/Women’s Affairs Committee, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at our college and the College of Medicine in Mosul, held a scientific workshop entitled “The Stage of Hope: Breast Cancer, Prevention, Early Detection, and Treatment.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mona Zuhair Abdul Karim.

The workshop highlighted the importance of early self-examination for breast cancer prevention, identified risk factors for the disease in Mosul, and introduced the latest diagnostic, treatment, and preventative methods to protect women, who are not just half of society, but the whole of society.

This workshop contributed to three Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 5 (Gender Equality).

In conclusion, Dr. Suhair Munir Daoud presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mona Zuhair Abdul Karim of the College of Medicine in Mosul for her valuable efforts and active participation.
