College of Environmental Sciences

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, and with the attendance of the Head of the Climate Change Department, Dr. Ali Zain Al-Abidin Haider, a seminar entitled “Human-Friendly Fungi and Their Role in Our Daily Lives” was held in the Climate Change Department. The seminar was presented by Ms. Israa Abdul-Bari Raouf, a faculty member in the Climate Change Department at our college.

The seminar included discussions on the types of human-friendly fungi and their role in decomposing organic matter such as plant and animal remains, as well as their role in symbiosis with other plants, pest control, and antibiotic production.

At the end of the seminar, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing faculty members to raise their inquiries and questions, which contributed to a productive and interactive scientific discussion.
