Meeting of the Head of the Climate Change Department with first-year students

As part of the College of Environmental Sciences’ commitment to supporting new students and ensuring their active integration into the department’s academic environment, Dr. Ali Zain Al-Abidin Haider, Head of the Climate Change Department, held a comprehensive meeting with first-year students in the discussion hall, in the presence of several faculty members.

Dr. Haider opened the meeting with a welcoming address, expressing his pleasure at the students joining this vital specialization. He explained that the Climate Change Department is a modern and important department that contributes to preparing qualified professionals capable of addressing rapidly evolving environmental and climatic challenges.

During the meeting, he presented a brief overview of the department’s structure, study plan, and the core courses students will take during their first years. He also clarified the lecture format, the requirements for passing, and the importance of attending laboratory and practical sessions.

The meeting included a Q&A session where students raised a number of questions and inquiries, primarily concerning the nature of the specialization and examination procedures. These questions were answered clearly and comprehensively, enhancing the students’ understanding of their studies and academic aspirations. At the end of the meeting, the head of the department wished the students a successful and fruitful academic year, urging them to be diligent and hardworking.
