The College of Environmental Sciences received a delegation from the University of Mosul Presidency to review the achievements of its sustainable development plan.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the College of Environmental Sciences at the University of Mosul received a delegation from the University Presidency – Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development Unit. The visit aimed to monitor the progress of the college’s programs and projects within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The delegation was received by the Dean’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Waleed Saeed Al-Abbasi, along with the heads of the Studies and Planning, Media and Government Communication, and the college’s Sustainable Development Liaison Officer.
The visiting delegation included Assistant Lecturer Raad Ahmed Ayoub, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, accompanied by Assistant Lecturer Anas Maan Taher and several specialists and supervisors of the sustainable development portfolio. During their visit, the delegation reviewed the college’s institutional performance and the quality of activities implemented in the areas of environment and sustainable development, in line with the university’s strategic vision of enhancing the quality of education and serving the community. The delegation commended the significant efforts of the college’s deanship and all its departments, particularly the Studies and Planning Department, the Media and Government Communication Department, and the Sustainable Development Liaison, in translating sustainable development goals into tangible initiatives and programs that have had a clear impact on improving performance and raising the level of educational and scientific services.
The visiting team also presented a set of observations and recommendations aimed at enhancing work efficiency and aligning the college’s activities with national and international standards, thereby contributing to solidifying the University of Mosul’s role as a leading academic institution striving for comprehensive development.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs expressed his deep appreciation for the university’s leadership and its ongoing support, affirming that the College of Environmental Sciences is committed to working as a unified team to achieve further excellence and innovation, and to strengthen its role in serving the community, advancing scientific research, and fulfilling the requirements of sustainable development.
