A seminar at the College of Political Science University of Mosul highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing challenges related to security climate change technology and leading change towards a more just and sustainable global system

The seminar, held on Wednesday 18 September 2024, discussed proposed mechanisms to enhance the multilateral system, reflecting today’s realities and ensuring broader representation of countries.

The seminar aimed to present solutions to ensure international peace and security, while exploring ways to promote sustainable development and support youth to guarantee their effective participation in global decision-making.

The scientific session was chaired by Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Mousa, with the assistance of Assistant Lecturer Nawar Basel Mahfoud. Three research papers were presented by Dr. Ali Bashar Abkar, Dr. Khairallah Sabhan Al-Jubouri, and Dr. Muhannad Hamid Abbas. Following the presentations, the floor was opened for questions and contributions from the audience.

The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Tayeb Dhahir, supervised the seminar and praised the topics discussed, as they address current political realities both regionally and internationally. The administration also indicated the potential to develop this seminar into a scientific conference under the auspices of the ministry, given that the papers presented could be further explored through master’s theses or doctoral dissertations to serve society and the public interest. Among the attendees were the administrative assistant and a number of the college’s faculty members and staff.
