Speech of the Dean of the College of Political Science on the Occasion of Iraqi Women’s Day

On March 8, as we celebrate Women’s Day, we at the College of Political Science stand in appreciation and respect for the Iraqi woman—she who, with her patience and wisdom, has shaped the language of resilience and has always been, and continues to be, a fundamental pillar in building the state and society.
In this academic institution, we believe that women’s political and social participation is not merely a legal entitlement, but a national necessity for achieving balance and stability. Iraqi women—whether as academics, students, or employees—have proven their ability to lead, bring about change, and contribute to decision-making even under the most challenging circumstances.
To our esteemed female colleagues among the faculty members, to our daughters, the students, and to every Iraqi woman who plants hope along the paths of this homeland: you are the beacon of knowledge, the voice of truth, and the symbol of dedication.
Happy Iraqi Women’s Day. May the Iraqi woman always remain a partner in glory and a maker of the future.
