Under the guidance of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the support and supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Tai, a new scientific research paper has been accepted and published as part of the College’s ongoing commitment to advancing scientific output.

The paper, titled:
“Microfacies Analysis of Kometan Formation (Late Turonian–Early Campanian) from Dokan and Qallat Sections in Sulaymania Governorate, Northeastern Iraq”
was published in the Iraqi National Journal of Earth Science, a peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in the international Scopus database.

This achievement was accomplished by Dr. Rana Abdulilah Mahmoud Al-Hayali from the Department of Earth Sciences – College of Science, in collaboration with Professor Dr. Zaid Abdulwahab Malak and Professor Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Badrani.

This publication represents a valuable addition to the scientific contributions of the College of Science and underscores the high caliber and reputation of its researchers in the field of earth sciences.
