Prof. Owais Mowafaq Hamed, faculty member in the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Mosul, chaired the master’s thesis defense of Safa Suleiman Khalaf from the College of Science, University of Tikrit.

The thesis was entitled:
“Detection of Morphological and Genetic Diversity of Locust Species in Salahaddin Province.”

The defense took place on the morning of Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in the discussion hall of the College of Science at the University of Tikrit, in the presence of committee members and students.

On this occasion, Prof. Waad Raouf Mahmood, President of the University of Tikrit, presented a letter of appreciation to Prof. Owais Mowafaq Hamed in recognition of his outstanding scientific contributions and his efforts in traveling to participate in the defense.
