On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, University of Mosul, held the defense of the master’s thesis entitled:

“Biochemical and Genetic Study of Preptin Hormone in the Serum of Patients with Osteoporosis”

presented by Elaf Ghazwan Nafea, in the presence of several faculty members of the college.

The thesis focused on investigating biochemical and genetic aspects of the preptin hormone and its potential role in the pathophysiology of osteoporosis.
