“The Energy We Cannot See” – A Scientific Workshop at the College of Science Toward a Cleaner World

In a world driven by invisible forms of energy hidden within the laws of physics, knowledge serves as the key to unveiling these forces and transforming them into tools for building a cleaner and more sustainable future. Energy is not merely a substance; it is the capacity of a system to produce change. Understanding energy is fundamental to advancing modern technologies and achieving environmental sustainability.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, with the follow-up of the Head of the Department of New and Renewable Energies, Assist. Prof. Ahmed Munir Suhail, the department organized a scientific workshop entitled:

“The Energy We Cannot See… A Physics Journey Toward a Cleaner World”

The workshop was held on Monday, February 9, 2026, as part of the Continuing Education Program, with the participation of a distinguished group of university academics and individuals interested in energy-related fields.

The workshop focused on the concept of energy from a physical perspective, explaining that energy is not a tangible material but rather the ability of a physical system to perform work and produce change. It is a conserved quantity governed by precise laws that regulate its transformation and transfer among different forms. The workshop also highlighted the role of physics in uncovering invisible forms of energy, understanding the mechanisms of energy conversion, and utilizing them to develop more efficient and sustainable energy systems.

The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Zahraa Badi’ Ibrahim and Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Ibrahim, and included scientific discussions on the practical applications of physical energy concepts and their invisible forms.

The College extends its best wishes to the organizers and presenters for continued success and achievement.
