Doctoral Seminar Presentations Held in the Department of Chemistry

As part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the academic capabilities of postgraduate students, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Mosul, organized two doctoral seminar presentations on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, with the participation of faculty members and postgraduate students.

The first seminar, entitled “Synthesis and Characterization of a Number of Divalent Metal Ion Complexes with Nitrogen-Containing Heterocyclic Ligands and Evaluation of Their Biological Activity,” was presented by PhD student Iman Muwaffaq Ramadan, specializing in Inorganic Chemistry, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Khansaa Shaker Al-Ni‘mah and Professor Dr. Ammar Hussein Al-Sabawi.

The second seminar was delivered by PhD student Esraa Adnan Saeed, also specializing in Inorganic Chemistry, and was entitled “Preparation and Characterization of a Number of Molten Salts and Their Complexes with Transition and Non-Transition Elements and the Study of Their Environmental Applications.” The research is supervised by Professor Dr. Asim Adel Sabah.

Both seminars witnessed active engagement from faculty members and postgraduate students, featuring valuable scientific discussions and exchanges of ideas and expertise. These interactions contributed to strengthening research skills and enhancing the academic development of doctoral students.
