The Council of the Faculty of science at the University of Mosul held its eleventh session on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, chaired by the dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Hiam Adel Ibrahim, in the presence of the dean’s assistants for administrative and scientific affairs and heads of departments, in order to discuss a number of scientific and administrative files aimed at enhancing the academic career at the college.

During the council, he discussed the directives of the University Council regarding exams, emergency plans and follow-up to complete the requirements of the academic year, as the council discussed preparations for the final exams for primary and higher studies students, where it was emphasized to fix the exam dates, prepare the halls, and provide the necessary logistical requirements to ensure the smooth and highly organized exam process.

The council also stressed the importance of supporting sober scientific publishing in international institutions such as scopes and clarifit, with emphasis on encouraging publication in journals classified within the first quarter (Q1), in addition to enhancing international research cooperation to contribute to raising the scientific and research level of the college and enhancing its academic presence.

The holding of this session comes within the framework of the keenness of the Deanship of the college and its council to develop the academic environment and improve the level of education and scientific research.
